Job Description

Responsibilities include:

As Intern/Assistant for Family As Art, you will have a variety of responsibilities.  The Studio team is looking for interns ensure the safety and comfort of newborns and their parents in the studio environment and to ensure a seamless and high quality delivery of services to the Family As Art clients.  You will need to have a strong sense for lighting and an eye for detail as well as a lot of stamina for working in hot conditions. 

Primary Studio responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Helping to prep the studio on the morning of shoots. Clients arrive at 10am in the studio, so you'll need to be there by 9am. 
• Ensuring that all props, fabrics and wraps are organised and ready to use.
• The lighting (natural light, through a series of curtains) has been checked and the adjusted for the conditions of the shoot.
• Helping to wrap baby
• Keeping a securing hand on baby during set changes and adjustments
• Watching the baby on set at all times
• Preparing set changes,re-setting up appropriate lighting
• Checking the needs of the parents and catering for them when necessary
• Taking occasional behind the scenes images
• Uploading images to studio hard-drive at the end of the session
• (depending on ability) Colour checking and applying presets in Lightroom.

Session dates can not be confirmed until the baby has been born and are therefor often booked at very short notice and therefor flexibility is a must. On average you will attend 4-5 sessions a month.

Duration: 3 months
